Bedtime Prayers.
Quinn-A-Roo, my 2 year old, just thanked Heavenly Father for "her iPad" about a dozen times tonight in her prayers. I must admit it was so dawling, but I also wondered if I should be a bit worried....oh well! I'm sure HE got a chuckle out of it.

Quality Chat.
Here is an interesting conversation my Buggy had with her sitter while sitting on the couch watching a movie as she (the sitter) sipped on her soda.
BUG: "Ooo...can I have some pop?"
SITTER: "I don't know Kaylee. I'm kinda sick." (cold)
BUG: "I AM TOO!! I went diarrhea this morning!"
nice.

Glenda The Good Witch.
First off . . . HAPPY HALLOWEENY from the Taylor Bunch!!!
(yes, my hubby is crazy and my baby refused to wear her costume.)
Ya'll sick of fighting about candy with your kids after Halloween?
Introducing my solution:
"GLENDA THE GOOD WITCH"
Who is "Glenda The Good Witch"? (other than the perdy lady on Wizard of OZ) Well at our house she is a nice Halloween Witch that saves my backside a few pounds each year! She collects candy in exchange for a little gift.
-books
-crayons
-necklace
-stickers
-small toy
-ect...
Here is how WE do it, but feel free to alter yours to fit yo famila. Once we get home from Trick-or-Treating the kiddos dump out all their boodle into a pile. They giggle with delight, chomp on a few pieces, trade and beg, and then they are given a sandwich size Ziploc bag that they can fill with their favorites. But they can only keep what will fit in that bag and so they fill that sucker up to the tip top! But it has to be able to zip shut. The rest of the candy is placed on the doorstep before bedtime. Then the childrens all go to sleep and dream about what little surprise "Glenda" will bring.
HINT: I copied a script font from my computer to disguise my handwriting.
BONUS: You could save "Glenda's Candy" for stocking stuffers.
Here is what "Glenda" left them this year. $2.00 soft dog figurine at Target.

I DID IT!
So with the support of my cute hubby...who was really excited for me to try some "fun, funky, flirty" hair, I did my best to cut/color it like the inspiration pic I posted earlier.
Here ya go!

CUTE HAIRS!!!
So I really like having short hair. It's fun to play with and in just a few months you can sport a totally new style. I LOVE the following hair pics. The longer style has FABULOUS color and the shorter dooo is what I chose to do....yikes!!!! I am sitting here now with my Jim-Jammers on so no pic yet on my end result. NO WAY! I hope I can rock it as sweet yet edgy as the little model did. ZOIKS!
IF I can't...I'll just lock myself in my sewing room and get back to work!!!! Seriously though...it's time for a NEW pattern!

Bug's Masterpiece
Not only does this give Picasso a run for his money, but it's pretty darn accurate....Not only do cows eat hay but amazingly they can go numero uno and dos simultaneously.
Parenting Discovery!!
So before I BLOW you away with my new 'Awesome Parenting Discovery' a trick that will solve all your problems with noisy children, I wanted to show you how stinkin' cute my little Roo is.
Here she is happy happy happy to be wearing one of Mama's "prettys". (necklace)
WARNING!
The Discovery below is pretty awesome...so buckle up!
Do your children or cute little niece and nephews giggle and play loudly...VERY loudly? Do they continue to play at the maximum volume even after you have asked nicely 20 times to turn it down a bit? And do they actually break the sound barrior while your baby is trying to take a nap? WELL....I have a solution.
Tell them you have the COOLEST movie on Earth for them to watch. Tell them that you can only watch it if they have their brave panties on. Ask multiple times if they are SURE they can handle the mind blowing events that are about to happen...do all of this in whisper by the way. Once they take the 'bait' turn on JUMANJI. Then grab your camera, a cold drink of your preference, kick off your flippity-flops and enjoy 'the show'.
Practically silent for almost 2 hours. Only the sound of a few gasps and flies buzzing in and out of their dropped jaws.
I'm nearly a genius.

Piggyback.
Tristan comes up to me just now with a most excited expression and says, "Mom! I just saw a mommy fly giving a baby fly a piggyback! I really did, with my own eyes!" I giggled and shared in on this amazing discovery with OOO's and AWE's. Then 5 minutes later she runs up again and states, "Mom, she's STILL giving him a ride!" . . . That's when I lost it.

Contraband at church
Tristan Sue, my 6 year old, is such a lovely child. She actually gets her shoes on after you ask her the first time! Never had an issue with her lying either. BUT today she gave me a surprise. She really wanted to take her stuffed dog to her Sunday school class and was bummed when I said no. As we are getting ready to leave the big meeting room with ALL of the congregation moving about, Tris grabs the bottom of her dress and pulls it all the way up to her chest scrunching it into a ball..showing off her tights that didn't quite make it up over her undies..she reaches down into those saggy tights and pulls out that stuffed dog! "I guess I better not take this huh Mom?" I couldn't hold back and we all had a giggle.

My silly niece.
So my niece is sleeping over and as we are washing our mugs and giggling about everything because it's 1:30am, she takes out her cute feather earrings and sets them on the counter. Suddenly her tone turns to serious and concern. She asks, "Oh Zanny, will Doug eat my earrings?!" ...Doug is my cat. Round 10 of our giggle match erupted.

My SWEET Phone.
Yes.... I did buy this ridiculously awesome hot pink phone that plugs into your cell so you can freak people out while driving in your car. Bonus: Me and my neck are friends again!
Scraggle-Tooth
Right now my little Sister Sue has a loose tooth. One of her front teeth
and it is hanging on by a thread! It's hilarious to watch her talk to
you because it's just 'bouncin' around as she speaks. I named her
'Scraggle-Tooth' the other night. Sometimes I get a little weary about
calling them names, but it just came out and luckily she liked it. Craig
has been calling Quinny...Boogers! She smiles and just loves it. Gross.
Bug hasn't developed a random temporary new nickname but I have
discovered what a little song bird she is. She loves to listen to 'my
music' and can sing right along. Right now she really likes Neon Trees
and Imagine Dragons. She even sings the little parts in the background
that you might not ever notice. I am excited to see what my girls will
decide to do in the future. Sports, music, theater, cooking, art,
whatever! I will support them in their desires....especially if it's
baking.

Sister-Love
So I was just thinking about a trial in my life that I recently overcame..phew! I have always planned on sharing my story with others but I am still gathering my thoughts. I can say that while in the eye of the storm I would pray that if I must go through this please help me be able to help another. If I could do that then I would continue the fight. Then it made me think, "What motivates others to keep on going?" Because what worked for me might not work for the next. If anyone feels like sharing something that has helped them that would be lovely. Never know whom it might uplift just enough to help them see the sun through those @#%! dark clouds. We, sisters on this Earth, need to help one another. Amen.

Gifts of Love.
It's nice to go away for a little while and have a little 'me-time'. One of the other perks to sleeping in, eating a warm meal, and using the potty allll by myself...is to come home to happy happy happy kids. My girls wrote me little love notes and gave me gifts! Wow! I'm one special Mama. Loved how they taped them with my blue painters tape too.
Bug gave me a lovely shriveled up dandelion. ahh.
Tris found this hip hot pink shredded feather from the playground. Lovely.
I truly was touched. L.O.V.E. my girly-squirlies!

Nite-Time Giggles
My 7 and 6 year olds are suppose to be reading the back of their eyelids but instead they are giggling like crazy as I hear them talking about bodily functions (with sound effects) and then a random episode of yelling out Ina pretty darn good western accent,"Well hellooo there!" They laugh at that soo hard I know ones going to wet their jammers.
I love it.
Kindergarten is Ruff.
As I was doing my little darlings hair for school I noticed her little lip was hanging down and quivering so I asked:
"What's the matter Sis?"
-
"I don't want to go to school."
"I don't want to go to school."
-
"But why? Is someone being mean to you or something?"
-
She replied in her somber sweet voice,
"No. I'm just so tired of all the gluuue, the scissorrrrs, the cuttingggg, and all the messes."
I tried not to laugh out loud, but replied in an understanding tone,
"I
know what you mean. Some days I just don't want to cook dinner. It makes
such a mess and I have to clean it all up. Hang tough sweetie. If we
don't do those things that are hard then you'll never learn and we'll
never eat! You be brave and tough today and I will try too, OK?"

Oh Ariel...
While cuddling with my sweet Tristan Sue eating buttery popcorn, I had a "moment". The previews to our movie showed The Little Mermaid and I was taken back to my younger days. Jumping on the tramp with my shirt twisted in such a way that it resembled a sea shell bra/top and one fuzzy leg warmer wrapped around both of my legs to form my "tail". Bouncing around singing at the top of lungs in my "special" voice I would only bring out for such an occasion holding the metal edge of the trampoline lifting the top half of my body up as if I was really on a giant rock. I must have really "gone back" because Tris was shocked at how fab I was belting out, "Look at this stuff? Isn't it neat? Wouldn't you think my collections complete?" (I know your rocking this too right now) and then the finale, "I don't know when...I don't know how...but I know something starting right now!!!!!!!"
It was beautiful.

My Intruder.
So...I'm in my sewing room doing some computer work and I hear a noise that sounds like someone trying to break in!!! It got louder and louder...I grab my BIG scissors, take a deep breath, and creep out to face my intruder. No way he can beat me with my pair of Gingher's in hand. But what do I find? My green beans for lunch are on the stove top burning! Oops.
(I still ate them...butter and salt can fix anything)
